If you feel that you would like to talk to someone, I am here to help and support you through this most difficult time. My experience in this area of therapy has been gained from the specialised training I have received and the work I do within the counselling support team at Forest Holme Hospice, a palliative cancer care unit attached to Poole Hospital for over 9 years as well as with clients in my private practice here in Queens Park, Bournemouth, where the sessions take place in ‘Peacehaven’, a calm, peaceful and relaxing log cabin within a private garden setting. Should you already be suffering some distress, I do hope you will find some helpful information on these pages that will ease some of your fears and concerns. Contact me to find out how I can be of help specifically for you.
I consider working as a therapist to be a great privilege, but with that privilege also comes a responsibility to do the best I can to help and support you in your time of need. Whether you have been diagnosed with a terminal illness or are suffering the loss of someone close to you, counselling, psychotherapy and hypnotherapy can be of great benefit in helping you to reach acceptance of a situation which may currently seem beyond your control. These treatments are explained on the relevant pages of my website and I feel confident that I can give you the best possible treatment, drawing on the experience I have gained from working in the support team at Forest Holme Hospice for 9 years. (Forest Holme is a Palliative cancer care unit, associated with Poole Hospital, Dorset)
I first started my training in 2007 and have never stopped learning since then, both by the experience of working with many clients and also continuing to attend many courses and workshops as well as reading and researching new and different ways to enhance my core skills.
How does this help me to help you?
By having a wide range of tried and tested skills, my aim is to support and help you in the best possible way. I feel that I have a friendly, confident, caring and professional manner and would like to assure you that I am happy to discuss and explain any suggested treatment to make sure you are comfortable with it before proceeding.
